Indooroopilly Residence is a unique and careful study of proportion, scale and layers of enclosure – to give this house its timeless character.

From the outset, the design process was a path of new discovery. The site and its setting presented a unique and unrivalled opportunity to create something very special and memorable.

Conceived very much as “a journey” – a carefully orchestrated progression of spaces with an abundance of natural light and network of spatial experiences. Visitors of the house often refer to its design as a “narrative” – like chapters unfolding within a book, that makes up the story.

The Residence was a defining moment for our practice – and set a new benchmark for Brisbane, never to be repeated at such a distinctive address.
